At Genuit Group, we create practical solutions that help make buildings more sustainable, efficient and comfortable. As more homeowners and developers look for ways to reduce energy use, lower-carbon heating is becoming an important part of building for the future.

This project shows how thoughtful design and the right technology can work together to create a home that is comfortable to live in and designed to perform well over time.

Delivering efficient heating for a Scottish passive house

Located on the Scottish coast, the three-storey self-build was designed with comfort, efficiency and long-term performance in mind. To meet the homeowners’ expectations, the project brought together a team of specialists working closely throughout the build.

Polypipe Building Products worked with Acer Mechanical Services and ARDEX to provide an energy-efficient underfloor heating system across the property. Paired with an air source heat pump, the system helps provide steady, comfortable heat while supporting a lower-carbon approach to home heating.

Smart controls also give the homeowners simple, effective control of temperatures throughout the year, helping them manage comfort and energy use more easily.

Supporting more sustainable homes

The completed passive house shows how comfort, efficiency and sustainability can come together in a high-performance home.

By combining underfloor heating with heat pump technology, the property has a heating solution designed to support efficient day-to-day living and reduce reliance on traditional heating methods.

Projects like this point to the future of home heating: practical, lower-carbon solutions that help people live comfortably today while supporting more sustainable homes for tomorrow.
